Upgrading or Downgrading Your Plan
You can change your SwiftlyCRM plan at any time from Settings → Billing.
Upgrading from Free to a Pro Tier
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Upgrade and select Pro, Pro Plus, or Pro Max
- Select Monthly or Annual billing
- Choose how many users to include (or leave it open — all Pro tiers are per-active-user)
- Enter your payment details (Paystack for African countries, Stripe for international)
- Click Subscribe
Your plan upgrades immediately. Usage limits increase at once — no waiting for a billing cycle.
Upgrading Between Pro Tiers
You can move from Pro to Pro Plus or Pro Max (or from Pro Plus to Pro Max) at any time:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Current Plan
- Click Change Plan
- Select your new tier
- Confirm the change
| Upgrade Path | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Pro → Pro Plus | Limits increase immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the current period |
| Pro → Pro Max | Limits increase immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the current period |
| Pro Plus → Pro Max | Limits increase immediately. You're charged the prorated difference for the current period |
Switching from Monthly to Annual
- Go to Settings → Billing → Current Plan
- Click Switch to Annual
- You're charged the annual amount immediately, prorated for the remaining months if you're mid-cycle
- Your next renewal date updates to 12 months from today
Annual billing saves 20% on all Pro tiers
Pro: $48/user/year (vs $60 monthly). Pro Plus: $96/user/year (vs $120 monthly). Pro Max: $192/user/year (vs $240 monthly).
Downgrading Between Pro Tiers
You can downgrade from a higher Pro tier to a lower one:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Current Plan
- Click Change Plan
- Select the lower tier
- Confirm the change
| Downgrade Path | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Pro Max → Pro Plus | Current tier access continues until end of billing period, then limits adjust |
| Pro Max → Pro | Current tier access continues until end of billing period, then limits adjust |
| Pro Plus → Pro | Current tier access continues until end of billing period, then limits adjust |
Important: If your current usage exceeds the limits of the lower tier (e.g., you have 20,000 contacts and downgrade from Pro Plus to Pro which allows 2,500), you'll retain access to existing data but won't be able to add new records until usage is within the new limits.
Downgrading to Free
- Go to Settings → Billing → Current Plan
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm the cancellation
What happens when you downgrade:
| What | Detail |
|---|---|
| Pro access | Continues until the end of the current billing period |
| Users above 3 | You will be prompted to deactivate extras before the downgrade completes |
| Data above Free limits | You can still view existing data but cannot add new records until within limits |
| Your data | Nothing is deleted — contacts, opportunities, documents, and history are all preserved |
Adding or Removing Users (All Pro Tiers)
All Pro tier billing is per active user. When you deactivate a user, they no longer count toward your bill from the next billing cycle.
| Action | How | Billing Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Add users | Invite them in Settings → Team Members | Next invoice is prorated for new seats |
| Remove users | Deactivate them in Settings → Team Members | Credit applied to next invoice |
