Cookie Policy

Last updated:

This Cookie Policy explains how SwiftlyCRM (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at swiftlycrm.com or use our application at app.swiftlycrm.com.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, improve user experience, and provide website owners with analytics information.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies — temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They are used to keep you logged in during a single browsing session.
  • Persistent cookies — cookies that remain on your device after your browser is closed, until they expire or you delete them. They are used to remember your preferences across sessions.
  • First-party cookies — cookies set directly by SwiftlyCRM on our domains.
  • Third-party cookies — cookies set by external services we use (such as analytics or payment processors) on their own domains.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the SwiftlyCRM application to function. Without them, core features like logging in, maintaining your session, and navigating between pages would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled.

  • swiftly_auth — stores your JWT access token to keep you authenticated between page loads. Session duration: up to 24 hours.
  • swiftly_refresh — stores your refresh token for seamless session renewal. Duration: 7 days (httpOnly, secure).
  • swiftly_csrf — protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Session cookie.

Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your display preferences, sidebar state, or the last viewed section of the app. Disabling them will not break core functionality but may reduce your experience.

  • swiftly_prefs — stores UI preferences (sidebar collapsed/expanded, theme settings). Duration: 1 year.
  • swiftly_tour_done — records whether you have completed the onboarding tour. Duration: 1 year.

Analytics Cookies

We use anonymised analytics to understand how users interact with SwiftlyCRM so we can improve the product. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

  • Third-party analytics — if enabled, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics service (such as Plausible Analytics) to track page views and feature usage. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.

Payment Processor Cookies

When you complete a payment, our payment processors (Paystack and Stripe) may set cookies on their domains to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. These are third-party cookies governed by Paystack's and Stripe's own privacy policies.

3. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies stored on your device.
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies.
  • Block all cookies or cookies from specific websites.
  • Allow cookies only from websites you trust.

Browser-specific instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to SwiftlyCRM and using core features of the application.

For opt-out options for third-party tracking, you may also visit Network Advertising Initiative or Your Online Choices.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending an email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
